7. Being dehydrated

Water is vital for your body to function properly, and stable water intake will prevent the accumulation of toxins in the liver. If you stay hydrated, your blood will be thinner, and your liver will be able to filter it properly, removing all the toxins from it. You should avoid drinking water with your meals, but during the day you should drink up to 3L of water, and at least one glass as soon as you wake up, to make up for the 8 hours that you just spent without drinking water. Know when your liver is bad: The signs your liver is bad can range from jaundice, a condition in which your eyes and skin appear to be yellowish, to an unusual color of your urine and feces – the urine might seem darker, and the stool will appear to be paler. Other liver toxicity symptoms can be chronic fatigue, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, swelling of the ankles, legs, and abdomen, and even itchy skin. If you experience any of these symptoms and have any of the habits we mentioned before, maybe it’s time to consider a liver cleanse through liver cleansing foods and/or teas. It’s always good to know how to detox your liver at home, but if your usual process is not effective anymore, and if your change of habits doesn’t seem to be working, maybe it’s time to seek professional help.
