What to eat and what to avoid for a better skin!

6. Avoid red meat

If you want to have better skin, there are certain foods you should avoid. Red meat is one of them. This doesn’t mean that you should completely cut off red meat from your diet, but you should limit its consumption as much as possible. Besides, the industry that produces this type of meat is highly polluting, so you will also be helping the planet with this decision.

7. Avoid milk and cheese

Dairy foods might be the root cause of your skin problems. According to several medical studies, this might happen for three distinct reasons: Dairy products contain casein and whey, two proteins that can increase the production of sebum – the main responsible for acne outbursts. When combined with dairy products, processed foods may noticeably interfere with insulin levels, which in turn can lead to inflammation and other skin problems. Many people are intolerant to lactose. So, when they consume dairy products, it triggers an inflammatory reaction within the body that also affects the skin. If you notice that dairy products have a negative impact on your skin quality, please consider switching to alternative products. There are currently many options available on the market.

8. Avoid processed sugar

Processed foods packed with added sugar are everywhere. Given their convenience (and sweet taste), many people consume too much of these products, even knowing beforehand all their potential health hazards – which include skin damage. Not only sugar destroys skin collagen, but it also contributes to weight gain. A sudden weight gain puts a lot of stress on your skin, potentially causing sagging, wrinkles, and stretch marks. Stay healthy!
