Many people tend to use weird positions and methods when they sleep because they believe it will make them better people.
Like Charles Dickens who believed that sleeping facing north can actually increase the level of his creativity, and I personally believe if I slept facing the beachside, it will make me safer (you are allowed to laugh!) But, what’s true is that your sleeping position can actually reveal secrets about your personality.
It turned out that the best second thing we do (besides eating) can actually be very beneficial to understand who we are, as long as you don’t snore though, then we all know who you are.
#1 – Yearner
The Yearner or the walking mommy is the person who falls asleep on their side with legs extended straight and arms stretched in front of them. This position means that you are an inviting and open-minded person, but a little bit complicated and suspicious. Also, what do you do when your partner sleeps next to you?
We are just curious, that’s all. However, studies say that anyone who likes to sleep in a way that makes them look like they are reaching for something means they tend to make decisions very slowly, but once they do, they become very stubborn about changing their mind, which is something we salute you for!
#2 – Log
The logger position is very similar to the Yearner, except you sleep with your arms extended by your side. This position is known to be the second most popular sleeping style which is a good thing because these people are social butterflies and very popular.
Also, the loggers are very easygoing, trustworthy, and carefree people. So, if you are one of these people then congratulations! Maybe your sleeping position is a little boring and dull, but your life is very exciting and eventful.
#3 – Starfish
As the name suggests, if you sleep on your back with your arms stretched up by your head, and your legs stretched out in a more of an “open” way, it means that you are a starfish sleeper and you look exactly like them. This position is the least popular one which gives you the chance to be rare. Pretty cool!
Speaking of cool, you are a very cool person and very loyal to your friends. You consider friendships as the most valuable thing in your life and you never hesitate to help your friends and listen to them, which actually makes a lot of sense since you sleep like you are expecting a hug. Also, you don’t like to be the center of attention, although sometimes you do!
#4 – Soldier
You are a Soldier sleeper if you go to Zzz-land on your back with your arms straight to your side, just like an actual soldier! This means you hate any trouble, stress, and tension caused by literally anyone and anything in life, you are a very positive person who loves to live life to the fullest.
Soldier sleepers are used to being at the center of attention around good people who they take very seriously. Plus, they have high expectations of themselves and the people around them as well. They also tend to snore, a lot!
#5 – Freefaller
Freefaller people slumber on their stomach with their arms and legs sticking out, they look like they literally just fell down from the neighbor’s ceiling. In any case, if you are a Freefaller then you are a leader who always makes sure that your personal and professional lives are organized and in order.
Freefallers are also known to have a playful personality and more of a free-spirited character, plus, they don’t like to be surprised! What is interesting about these people is that they are secretly very anxious and they crave control. They also don’t have enough strength to handle criticism or absurd situations.
#6 – Fetal
If you sleep on your side with your knees out and curled up to your chest, it means that you are using one of the most popular positions there is. According to a survey, 41% of participants sleep in a fetal position. Also, where can I volunteer in such surveys?
So, if you like to sleep it off in this position, it means that you are calm and a reliable person. You have a strong shell and it’s very hard to offend you. Your smile never leaves your lips and you have the ability to easily adjust to changes.
Also, you are very sensitive, shy, and soft from the inside. Your personality and your sleep position are signs that you are a very lovely person, and we all cherish your existence.
