1. Bananas

Bananas are indeed a healthy food, but even though they sound like a good breakfast option, they are not. Consuming bananas on an empty stomach can end up decreasing your energy levels – at first, you will feel energized because bananas are high on sugar, but in a couple of hours the energy levels will go down and you will feel tired and hungry.

If you must eat bananas for breakfast, at least try to eat them along with some healthy fats, peanut butter might be an option.

2. Coffee

There are many people who feel like is imperative to have a cup of coffee as soon as they wake up, but caffeine intake in the morning is kind of useless.

Studies have come to show that having coffee prior to a meal can actually make you more tolerant of caffeine, which will mean that in the long run, it won’t have the effect it is supposed to have.

3. Rice

Rice is a really good side dish, and we all love to have sushi as a reward after a long day of work, but because rice contains some complex carbohydrates, it can cause digestion problems if you eat it at night and then just go to bed.

Aside from slow digestion, eating rice for dinner can also make you gain weight. Include rice on your lunch, because during the day your metabolism is peaking and the carbohydrates will give you an energy boost.
