2. Fruit And Veggies May Carry Dangerous Bacteria
The produce you consume goes through a long journey before reaching the supermarket shelves, and during that long journey, the chances of contamination are quite high.
The produce you buy at the store can still have bacteria from the farm, which might even include fecal matter, and after it goes on the shelves, it can get contaminated from people who are suffering from foodborne disease. So, this is why you must wash your produce, even before cooking.

This doesn’t pose any health risk for you! If your fruits or veggies happen to carry tiny insects, it’s a sign that you are probably consuming organic produce, free from herbicides and pesticides. However, eating a bug may change the flavor of your food, and for some people, it can be quite upsetting.
